I've been doing my preparations to lead my D.Min students through the waters of New-Atheism with their chance to talk in person with two well known atheists. I have been reviewing several books, thanks to input from many of you.
One book that has stood out for me is "Where the Conflict Really Lies", by Alvin Plantinga. His thesis is that the conflict of atheism and faith, is really is between naturalism and science, not between theism (belief in God) and science.
It's really helping me to understand the nature of the naturalism that underpins much of the New Atheism, and how to respond to many of their claims. I'll be reviewing it in depth later.
